FACULTY OF ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING

Established in 2023, FTKE is one of the faculties in the Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka that houses 4 departments that are, Engineering department, Engineering Technology department, Technology department and Diploma Studies department. The faculty offers seven (7) undergraduate programmes, that are, two (2) engineering bachelor programs, three (3) Engineering Technology bachelor program, one (1) Technology bachelor program and one (1) diploma program. all of Engineering bachelor programs have fulfilled the Board of Engineers (BEM) requirement for an engineering program that is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC). While Engineering Technology Bachelor program fulfills the requirement of Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) for accreditation. The Technology program will focus on the practical aspect and fulfills the requirement of Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT) for accreditation. 

FACULTY OF MECHNICAL TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING

Faculty of Technology and Mechanical Engineering (FTKM) provides comprehensive curriculum in the field of mechanical engineering accredited by Board of Engineers Malaysia through the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC, signatory of Washington Accord), Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) and Malaysia Qualifications Agency (MQA).   

FACULTY OF INDUSTRIAL AND MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING

FTKIP is supported by 124 academic, 36 technical of all backgrounds and strengths in the field of manufacturing engineering as well as 14 administrative staff. The fields include engineering materials, manufacturing design, manufacturing process, robotics and automation, and manufacturing management.

Our faculty comprises four main departments: the Department of Engineering, the Department of Engineering Technology, the Department of Technology, and the Department of Diploma. We offer a wide range of academic programs, including diplomas and bachelor’s degrees in industrial and manufacturing technology, engineering technology, and engineering. Additionally, we provide postgraduate opportunities at the MSc, MEng, PhD, and DEng levels.

FACULTY OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY

The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FTMK) stands as one of the pioneering faculties within Kolej Universiti Teknikal Kebangsaan Malaysia (KUTKM), established on December 1st, 2000. Its operational journey commenced on June 22, 2001, welcoming its inaugural cohort of students for the academic session 2001/2002. Notably, on February 1st, 2007, KUTKM was officially rebranded as Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM).

FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOPRENEURSHIP

Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), which was incorporated in December 2000, is the 14th Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) in Malaysia. The Faculty of Technology Management & Technopreneurship (FPTT) was established on 19th March 2009 and has started its operations at the City Campus, in the heart of the World Heritage City of Historic Melaka.

FPTT has indeed created a history for being the sixth faculty to offer programs at Bachelor Degree level at UTeM. With its establishment, the faculty integrate a technology and business approach in enhancing the knowledge and skills of human capital. The FPTT curriculum was developed to address issues and challenges in managing the the force of globalization, rapid pace of technological changes, market and competition, product complexity, pressure of production cost, high cost and risk of research and development, and government regulations and market diversity.

CENTRE FOR LANGUAGE LEARNING

Centre for Language Learning promotes communicative and intercultural competence in its curriculum. The aim is to empower students to use the target language in order to fully understand information, to express themselves orally and in writing and to communicate with native and non-native speakers of the language.
