• WHAT IS A SOCIAL PASS
A Social Pass is an approval granted by the Immigration Department of Malaysia for family members of the postgraduate students (i.e. husband / wife / children / father / mother) to stay in Malaysia during the postgraduate students study period in Malaysia.
• HOW TO OBTAIN A SOCIAL PASS
A student is advised to apply for a Social Pass for their family members immediately after their arrival in Malaysia. IO Officer will assist international students in the social pass application which will be made at the Immigration Department. The documents required for social pass application are as follows:
1.
Pass and Visa Application Form (BA/PASS/BR01)
2.
2 copies of Form IM-12>
3.
2 copies of student's passport
4.
2 copies of dependant's passport
5.
2 passport sized photographs (blue background)
6.
2 copies of admission offer letter or latest semester result for renewal cases
7.
Registration Slip
8.
Social Pass Fee (RM 90.00/application)
9.
Your dependant's passport
• WHAT IS A SPECIAL PASS
A Special Pass is a temporary pass issued by the Immigration Department due to a pending decision on student or social pass application and is only valid for a maximum of a one month.
