Welcome to Centre for Teaching & Learning

Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) formerly known as Centre for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) was established as a resource and research centre for the study and support of teaching. At that time, it was staffed by one full time Teaching Development Officer and one-part time executive assistant. The Centre then had its official inauguration in 2003 by the Higher Authority. Due to the size of the university and the growing interest in developing teaching methods, the Centre expanded in 2004. In 1st November 2004, the unit changed its name to the Centre for Teaching and Learning, to express developments within UTeM.

Currently, the Director of the Centre is Y.Bhg. Associate Prof. Dr. Syed Najmuddin bin Syed Hassan and assisted by Y.Bhg. Dr. Hjh. Norasiken binti Bakar, a Deputy Director. There are seven administrative staffs, namely Cik Norazah binti Mohamed Yazid (Assistant Registrar), Puan Erni Suhadah binti Mod Husin (Personal Assistant), En. Shahrizan bin Sam (Administrative Assistant), Pn. Mariana binti Jelani (Administrative Assistant), Pn. Nor Azlina binti Md Aris (Administrative Assistant (Finance), En. Mohammad Isham bin Ishak (Computer Technician) and En. Jasmi bin Johari (General Assistant).
