The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Centre were founded to support the quality assurance activities and enhancement plan at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. It reports directly to the University Vice Chancellor. The Centre was established on 1 June 2003, as a result of University’s highest concern for quality program. However, the Center currently responsible for the following functions includes: | | (a) | Developing and implementing university wide quality management system according to MS ISO 9001:2008, for teaching and learning of undergraduate programs. | | (b) | Formulating the University Strategic Plan, | | (c) | Institution Programme Manager Office (iPMO) for the implementation of National Higher Education Strategic Plan. | | (d) | Administering and facilitating the operation of UTeM’s quality assurance enhancement policies and procedures. | | (e) | One Stop Centre for programs accreditation process of engineering program from the Board of Engineers Malaysia. | | (f) | Monitoring and reporting the achievements of University’s Strategic Plan. | | (g) | Coordinating and documenting the self assessment report for the Academic Performance Audit (APA) according to the Code of Practice of Institutional Audit (COPIA). | | (h) | One Stop Centre for ICT and Management programs recognition by Malaysian Qualification Agency. | | (i) | Manages the provision of management information across UTeM including key performance indicators (KPI), KRAs, statistics to support the planning, reporting and rating as requested by stakeholders. | | (j) | Supports UTeM’s Strategic Planning process through coordination of the annual strategic planning cycle and the associated activities. | |
