MOHE INVITED INDUSTRY TO JOIN MyPhD TO ENHANCE TECHNOLOGY PDF Print

Local engineering companies are urged to grab the opportunities to join the Engineering Doctorate or PhD for (MyPhD: MyBrain15 programme) offered by Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE). This is to solve the problems of some companies which do not implement sufficient  research projects related to new technology.

Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, the Minister of Higher Education Malaysia said that the industry can cooperate with higher educational institutions (HeIs) in implementing high end research using latest engineering applications through the Engineering Doctorate research conducted by their staff.

Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled witnessed  the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signing ceremony between UTeM and industries on 25 July 2011 at Marriot Hotel, Putrajaya. UTeM Vice Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Ahmad Yusoff Hassan  and  Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International), Dato’ Professor Dr. Mohd. Nor bin Husain signed  the MoA documents on behalf of UTeM. Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dato’ Muhamad Kadim bin Suaidi and  MoA with industries is required by MOHE  before HeIs can conduct the Engineering Doctorate  and the students to be funded under the MyBrain15 programme.

Six senior management staff from Composites Technology Research Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., Infineon Technologies (Kulim), Infineon Technologies (Melaka), Solid Precision Engineering, National Semiconductor (Melaka) dan Rubber Leisure Product Sdn. Bhd. signed the MoA documents on behalf of their respective companies.
