Assalamualaikum w.b.t and warm welcome,

First of all, I am thankful to Allah, The Almighty God. Welcome to Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Currently, FKM is offering five (5) courses at the Bachelor Degree level namely Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Thermal-Fluids) with Honours, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Structure & Materials) with Honours, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Design & Innovation) with Honours, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Automotive) with Honours and Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Plant and Maintenance) with Honours as well as Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. FKM is always pro-active in ensuring that the quality of learning and teaching is in accordance to the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) and Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) requirements. The first four running bachelor courses have been accredited by EAC whilst the last bachelor program, which is a new program, and is in the process of being accredited. Meanwhile, the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering has been accredited by MQA.

Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is being actively implemented to guarantee the effectiveness of teaching and learning. This implementation certainly requires a large number of academic staff, who possess high competency and are critical-minded. In doing so, the number of staff have been recruited from time to time.

FKM has also put in place the Academic Advisory system to monitor the students’ performance. This system enables student to discuss with his/her Academic Advisor, relating to the academic achievement throughout his/her study. Students are responsible to make appointments with their respective academic advisors to seek good advice and guidance.

Last but not least, I hope that this website will assist in disseminating a clearer and more detailed information on research and the researchers in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
