GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT (GRA) IN RF/MICROWAVE ENGINEERING OPPORTUNITIES

There are opportunities to pursue your studies (MSc or PhD) in the area of RF/ Microwave Engineering, i.e. development and design of microwave devices such as filters, antenna, rectifiers based on planar or non-planar technologies for next-generation communication systems.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent with a CGPA of at least 2.8)
  • Applicants must be willing to further study in Master’s Degree or PhD.
  • Strong motivation for research work on RF/ Microwave Engineering.
  • Good command in Malay and/or English languages (spoken and written).
  • Proactive and able to carry out research work independently.
  • Good skills in technical writing and presentation.
  • Monthly allowance: RM1500
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Research activities may require skills in Matlab, Advanced Design System (ADS), CST or HFSS (guidance will be provided)

Graduate Research Assistant in Communication System

 Faculty of Electronics and Computer Engineering UTeM (Melaka)

Potential candidates are invited to apply for a position of Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) to work on a research project entitled “Advanced Radio Resource Management for IMT-Advanced.” 

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent with a CGPA of at least 3.0)
  • Applicants must be willing to further study in Master’s Degree (full-time).
  • Strong motivation for research work on wireless communication network.
  • Good command in Malay and English languages (spoken and written).
  • Proactive and able to carry out research work independently.
  • Good skills in technical writing and presentation.
  • Good programming skills in technical computing software (e.g. MATLAB, C/C++, etc.).
  • Monthly allowance: RM1500  (24 months)
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

We would like to invite applications for positions of Research Assistant for collaboration research project between Faculty of Electronics & Computer Engineering UTeM and Dept. of Electrical Engineering UM entitled “A Novel Study on The Effects of Heavy Metal Oxide for Thulium-Doped Fibre Lasers.”Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Physics or equivalent. (CGPA of at least 3.0)
  • Applicants must be willing to further study in Master’s Degree.
  • Skills and experience in optical technology.
  • Good command in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written).
  • Good communication skills, proactive and able to carry out research independently.
  • Skills in technical computing software (e.g. Matlab) is a plus.
  • Monthly allowance: RM1100 to RM1500 
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
